Elodie Filliol, the owner of the Green Ranch, and her husband Kojo Entwi are trying to tell us, their customers have to show the ID-Card or the Passport when they enter the Green Ranch because some of the visitors (Robert Mensah, Ruby Smith, Ester Awonoor, Chief Kofi Boateng) are not in their records. NONSENSE! I confirm the customers are writing the truth. I visited the Green Ranch last year (and I did’t show my Passport) : The rooms were dirty, the white lady was unfriendly to me and there were green snakes in the compound and in the area. By the way, Elodie and her husband (Kojo Antwi and Kwadwo Antwi are the same person! ) have written three comments about the Green Ranch with five stars! That’s against the guidelines of Google, and I reported them already to Google. Elodie Filliol does not respect her customers at all — very bad.
Nice people, nice lake… and nice snakes The days at the lake were exciting, but at the end of the third day even a bit too exciting. I just entered the room after taking shower and what I saw really hit me: A big green snake was sitting in my bed. Staring at me just like the animal wanted to say: What you are doing here, it´s my place. My familiy and me are living here. Later I found out that it this was the famous green mamba. The western green mamba is a very alert, nervous, and extremely agile snake that lives mainly in the coastal tropical rainforest, thicket, and woodland regions of western Africa. Like all the other mambas, the western green mamba is a highly venomous elapid species. Its venom is a highly potent mixture of rapid-acting presynaptic and postsynaptic neurotoxins (dendrotoxins), cardiotoxins and fasciculins. Some consider this species to not be a particularly aggressive snake, but others have suggested that they are extremely nervous and are prone to attack aggressively when cornered. Anyhow I just went back to the shower. Thinking about the situation. After a while I opened the door carefully and was relaved that the guest was gone. All the rest of the trip was in total only half as exciting as that moment. Later the taxi driver who brought me to kumasi told me that snakes in that area are common and people even eat them. So that could be an interesting highlight for the next tour.
